exhibition of new works in stone by Doug Neil and cast crystal glass by Annabel Menzies-Joyce
091611Since our last update many more changes have taken place, most noticeable for us is our colleague Shirin Khosraviani has departed for her new role as Curator/Manager at the Ashburton Public Gallery. Her departure is a sad one but we are extremely happy for her and are excited to see what great things come of this new role.
Due to structural damage still being found, accessed, and rectified, our return to Christchurch Art Gallery has had to be revised on a monthly basis. Presently, we are looking toward a date in late October for our return. We are still working from our Home Office and are continually answering queries, valuation requests and commissions.
We have a NEW exhibition schedule showcasing our Christchurch Artists. Beginning 30th July with our 1st “Home Edition” show entitled Re/DeConstruction; 11 Christchurch Jewellers highlights the great wealth of creativity that Christchurch has. This is a 4 day exhibition at our home office location, with all work uploaded to our website on the 4th day! There all work can be viewed, enquired about and commissioned.
This format will continue each month showcasing other CHCH Artists working in different materials. So please watch this space as in the following months we have work from Kim Henderson, Akane Nakao in August and new work by Doug Neil & Annabel Menzies-Joyce in September. Exciting times are ahead, and we hope to make “Form home edition” a date everyone will pencil in their calendar.
If you are not on our mailing list and would like further updates, news, invites to our upcoming exhibitions, please just email us at form@inet.net.nz with SUBSCRIBE in the subject line.
We also like to inform our clients that we still stock both quake gel & wax.
On behalf of myself, my staff and the artists I represent, I would like to thank all our clients for the great support and good wishes which we have received over the last number of months. It is with this support and good will that I believe Form Gallery will continue as a part of Christchurch art community.

As you might be aware we are still unable to occupy our gallery. While the Civil Defence have now vacated the area, the Council are still using most of the building and we are still uncertain of the timeline for our re-occupancy. Although we do not have any set timeframes to inform you on, we would like to assure you that we are still operating; being so from our alternative home office.
We are still able to aid you with your insurance valuations for EQC. You can request one of our valuation info sheets by emailing us at form@inet.net.nz. If you had any orders with us prior to the February 22nd Earthquake we are still able to process these for you and this can be done via email or by phone (03 337 3066).
For those who follow our blog or visit our website regularly you will be aware that our new online gallery store is now up and running. This is a multi purpose gallery where all artists’ work is able to be purchased. You can make enquiries, commission pieces, purchase and browse at your leisure. All questions will be answered speedily thanks to our “ask us anything” facility. Also, we do stock both wax and gel quake-hold products which can be purchased by contacting us through email or our gallery number.

As always we appreciate all our clients who have helped us over the many years we have been a part of Christchurch. We do hope that once our city is back up and running that we can count again on our many clients and friends.
Form Gallery
To all our dearest clients, artists and friends
As you will have no doubt heard, Christchurch has again been hit with a devastating earthquake. Although there has been more damage to many neighbourhoods and our homes, the central business district has been the worst hit area.
During the earthquake we lost much of our lovely artwork (even though they were secured) and we have not been able to go back in to take stock of what we have actually lost.
During this uncertain time, if you live in Christchurch, know that our thoughts are with you as we all try and get out lives back together. For all our other friends and artists please be assured that we will update you as soon as we have any information and are allowed into the gallery.
For now, Form Gallery will be closed until further notice.
